About this Event
Join Naturalist Ella for this haiku workshop with hot tea. Haikus are short poems, usually inspired by nature. We will be taking a slow morning to learn about the history and significance of haikus, how haikus are written, and then spend some time writing our own with optional sharing and discussion time.
We can use the practice of writing haikus to be more observational and grounded in our surroundings. This program will take place in our outdoor amphitheater, surrounded by forested area that you can step into as you are writing.
This program is for all ages. Bring your own journal or use the provided writing supplies.
A park pass is required for this event. If you do not have one, please plan to purchase one prior to the event start.
