Stargazing Night
Come out to our special Stargazing Night to get the rare chance of seeing the stars in the park!
About this Event
Come out to our special Stargazing Night to get the rare chance of seeing the stars in the park! Parking will be limited to our Middle Parking Lot. Entry is first come-first served. The event will take place on our Upper Park Lot. We will have the Denver Astronomical Society setting up telescopes for the public to view through!
Entry into the park for the event will be from 10pm-11pm. The park will close at regular time at 9pm, and gates will reopen for the event at 10pm. All visitors must be out of the park by 9pm, regardless if you are attending the event or not. This helps staff ensure all visitors are out of the park prior to prepping for this event.
The trails will be closed at normal closing hours. All attendees of the event must stay in the parking lots or Visitor Center patio. Everyone must check in at the entrance station, and all park entrance fees apply.
Headlights from vehicles greatly affect night sky events, so if you plan on leaving early, please let the parking staff know so that you park further away from the event and won't disrupt it when leaving.
Red lights only during the event. Please do not use a regular white flashlight or phone light while attending, as it disrupts our natural night vision which takes a long time to get back. Bring your own foldable chairs and water. Feel free to bring your own telescopes!
