Nature is nurturing for our bodies and minds. In this workshop you will discover the history, science and art of observing nature and recording observations. 

In conjunction with the Mile High Hunt & Fish Expo we’re excited to bring Wildlife Biology Trivia & Brews to No Limits Archery on 6/17 from 5:30-7:30 PM! Join us for an exciting night of science, trivia, and craft beer! We’re diving deep into Supporting Science in the Wild—all while enjoying some free food, cold brews, and opportunities for prizes you won’t want to miss! Test your knowledge, win cool stuff, and connect with fellow wildlife and brew lovers.

Please join us for Wildflower Wednesday, where we will hunt for and discuss "what is blooming” on various trails in the park. The hike is led by a volunteer naturalist, well-versed in the park's trails and botany.

Give your kids a summer of outdoor adventure and learning with FREE educational programs from the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area! Our popular Jr. Rangers program (ages 5-11) is back in both Salida and Buena Vista, offering engaging activities that help kids connect with nature. For our youngest park enthusiasts, Tots on Fridays (ages 2-4) provides a special interactive experience in Salida – just remember, an adult needs to be present for these nature-filled Fridays! All programs are free, educational, and perfect for fostering a love for the outdoors.  Don't miss out!  Spaces are limited, so please be sure to register in order to secure your spot.
