Eleven Mile open to boating May 5, Spinney opening date set for April 21
LAKE GEORGE, Colo. – Eleven Mile State Park will open to boating May 5. Boaters are encouraged to renew their license and complete the Aquatic Nuisance Species inspection prior to opening day. The north ramp parking lot will be closed May 1-3 to install a high-tech break water system.
Boaters must carry one Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device for each person on board. All children 12 and under are required to wear a life vest at all times on the water, except below deck or in an enclosed cabin.
Spinney Mountain State Park will open on April 21. Due to low water levels, only hand-launched vessels and shoreline fishing will be allowed. Future boating access will depend on the snowmelt process.
