Castlewood Canyon State Park preserves thousands of acres in the Black Forest region

Public has two weeks remaining to comment on Castlewood Canyon State Park’s future management decisions


FRANKTOWN, Colo. – Castlewood Canyon State Park is asking for public input on the park’s future plans. The comment period ends June 30.

People wishing to provide feedback can fill out a short comment form. Questions center on parking needs, possible timed vehicle entry system and dog off-leash areas. Responses will be used in decisions about Castlewood Canyon’s future projects.

More than 200,000 visitors enjoy the park each year. The 2,628 acres of Castlewood Canyon provide sweeping rock formation views, challenging rock climbing and raptor viewing opportunities.
