CPW SE Region calls Sportsperson's Caucus to introduce new Region Manager, talk agency goals

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sportspersons from across Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Southeast Region are invited to a caucus to meet new Region Manager Frank McGee, hear his goals for the region and ask him questions.

McGee also will talk about new CPW Director Jeff Davis and important issues facing the agency including the upcoming introduction of wolves and changes to the Big Game Season Structure for hunting.

The regional caucus is scheduled at 6 p.m., Monday, July 10, at the Southeast Region offices in Colorado Springs and online, streaming live via the CPW Facebook page.

This will be a great chance for all hunters, anglers, trappers and outdoor enthusiasts to get to know McGee, who was appointed by Davis in May. McGee’s nearly 20-year career with CPW has included leading the agency’s busy Pikes Peak area team of wildlife officers in 2014-21 and then overseeing law enforcement training for all new wildlife officers and park rangers.

The caucus will be co-hosted by Larry McCormack and Ron Goodrich, who represent the CPW Southeast Region caucus as delegates to the statewide Sportsperson’s Roundtable.

The Southeast Region Caucus offers everyone the opportunity to have an active voice in how CPW manages wildlife and to participate in statewide debates on CPW policies, regulations and resource management decisions.

“The caucus is a positive and inclusive group that works to give everyday sportsmen and sportswomen a voice before the statewide Sportspersons’ Roundtable and the CPW Commission,” McGee said. “We want to hear your ideas and welcome your input as to how best we can affect positive change and protect our sport and resources.”
