CPW to offer free ‘Duck Hunting 101’ class on Sept. 15 in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado Parks and Wildlife is inviting all hunters who want to learn more about hunting ducks to a free “Duck Hunting 101” class the afternoon of Sept. 15 in Pueblo.

This class is designed as an introduction to duck hunting in Colorado. 

Topics to be covered include the basic equipment needed such as decoys and duck calls. There will be discussion of duck biology and how to identify various ducks and distinguish them from geese. CPW staff will share tricks for successful duck hunting such as understanding duck habitat, finding places to go and how to set up a blind.

And, of course, staff will talk about important safety guidelines.

The 4-hour class is free to the public but participants must register online to be sure they reserve a space.
