Eldorado Canyon State Park closes Timed Entry Reservation System for the 2022 summer season

ELDORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Eldorado Canyon State Park will no longer require vehicle entry times starting on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2022, through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s sales system, IPAWS. 
 
Reservations for vehicles that include specific entry times will be required again next year starting May 15, 2023. This is the first Colorado state park to implement a timed entry system. This new reservation system is for vehicle entry only. To learn more details about the park reservation system, visit cpw.state.co.us.

The Eldo Shuttle 2022 season is also over for the summer season and will resume service in late May 2023. Visit Eldoshuttle.com for more information on shuttle access to the park.

To help prepare for a more enjoyable outdoor experience, Colorado Parks and Wildlife encourages park visitors to plan ahead before heading out to the park this fall and winter season.

  • If the parking area is full, move on to the next designated parking area. 
  • Use the CPW Park Finder to explore Colorado’s 43 state parks and visit the park’s individual web page to learn about any possible park or trail closures. 
  • Have a backup plan in case your desired trailhead, park or location is crowded or closed.
