Reserve your vehicle entry time into Eldorado Canyon State Park

ELDORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Eldorado Canyon State Park will begin accepting reservations for vehicle entry times for weekends and holidays starting on Wednesday, July 13 for reservations beginning July 23 through Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s sales system, IPAWS.

Reservations for vehicles that include specific entry times will be required on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from July 23 through Sept. 15. This is the first Colorado state park to implement a timed entry system. This new reservation system is for vehicle entry only, reservations are not required if you are accessing the park using the free shuttle service or walking in. Reservations for vehicle entrance can be made online through cpwshop.com by selecting “Visit a Park” and “Daily Entrance”, or by calling 1-800-244-5613. 

Reservations will be based on approximately 90 percent of the park’s total parking capacity (200 vehicles) and will be available 30 days in advance. A minimal number of permits will be available 24 hours in advance. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead when visiting during peak user days. 

Reservations are available from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be accepted in a two-hour entry window.

Day use reservations are limited to one per person, per day. Each person is limited to a maximum of four reservations per month. The individual named on the reservation must be in the motor vehicle.

Individuals with a Colorado state parks pass on their IPAWS record, such as an affixed vehicle annual or family annual, may make reservations for free. The pass must be valid and displayed to access the park. Individuals without a parks pass on their record will be charged $10 for their reservation and will use their reservation as their parks pass for the day.

The vehicle reservation system will also run in 2023, being required again on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from May 15 through Sept. 15.
