About This Ranch
Ranch is located 20 miles east of Silver Cliff on Hwy 96 then south 3.5 miles on Hwy 165. Ranch is 33 miles west on Hwy 165 from Exit 74 on I-25.
Success rates depend greatly on snow cover on this ranch. Elk also readily move between the ranch and adjacent public land. Portions of hunting seasons are set to give early access to public hunters and other portions correspond to times when harvest might be improved both on and off the ranch.
Terrain
The ranch is located in the Wet Mountains and is surrounded by San Isabel National Forest. Hunters can expect snow on this ranch at the time of the seasons. Vegetation varies from spruce-fir to aspen groves, with large meadows comprising 50 percent of the acreage.
Access
Ranch roads allow vehicle access to parking areas that provide foot access to all parts of the ranch within two miles. All vehicles and ATVs must stay on designated roads.

Ranching for Wildlife (RFW)
This property is part of the Ranching for Wildlife program. The Ranching for Wildlife program provides Colorado residents a unique opportunity to hunt on private ranch land normally closed to the public. Participating ranches provide public hunting recreation access to their land free of charge to those who draw licenses.
Through this program, hunters can play an important role in helping CPW and landowners manage wildlife populations on private land. In addition to providing public hunting access to successful applicants, participating landowners are required to improve habitat on their ranch for both game and non-game animals. These efforts help preserve and enhance open spaces for wildlife to live and thrive and keep the hunting heritage alive for you and future generations.
