Pfister Draw

The State Trust Lands (STL) Hunting and Fishing Access Program includes more than 900,000 acres of land leased to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) for seasonal public hunting and fishing opportunities. Most properties are open seasonally for hunting and fishing ONLY, unless specifically authorized for wildlife viewing. STLs are typically open from Sept. 1 through the end of February, unless noted otherwise and are closed to public access all other times of the year. A valid hunting or fishing license​ is required to access State Trust Lands in this program, and unauthorized use or activity on these lands may be subject to enforcement from CPW or local authorities.
From Fort Collins, go 22 miles N on Hwy. 287 to CR 80 C. Go W to CR 103 (known as Four Corners). Go N for 7 miles to E properties.To W STL, turn off USFS Rd. 200 and go W for 5 miles. SECTS. 25 & 36 are off CR 103, which goes through SW corner of Sect. 36. SECT. 34 is 5 miles W of CR 103 on USFS Rd. 200. Go N for 1 mile on BLM two-track road.

From Hwy. 50 in La Junta, get onto Hwy. 109. Take Hwy. 109 for 3 blocks S to 6th St. in La Junta, then go E on 6th St. 6th St. turns into CR AA. Take CR AA for 4 miles to CR 35. Go S for 7 miles on CR 35. CR 35 turns into CR T for 1 mile going E. CR T turns into CR 36 going S. Take CR 36 for 3 miles. STL is E of CR 36 for 1 mile.

Johnny Moore Mountain

From Walden, take Hwy. 14 SE for 12.5 miles to CR 30. Go 1 mile to parking area. From Walden, take 5th St. E until it becomes CR 12, then go 6.7 miles E to CR 23A. Go 4.2 miles S, then E. Or, take 5th St. E until it becomes CR 12. Go E for 10 miles to CR 29. Go 0.9 miles to parking area. Parking lot W of dam. Parking lot 0.25 miles N of dam.

Los Creek

From Gunnison on Hwy. 50, go E for 8 miles to Hwy. 114. Go SE on Hwy. 114 approx. 25 miles to CR 17GG (FR 804). Go S on CR 17GG approx. 6 miles to stop sign. Turn E on CR NN-14 and go approx. 1.25 miles, then go S on CR 17FF (FR 787) for 2.5 miles to FR 787.2A. Follow FR 787.2A E for 2 miles to S access.

Maybell

Most properties are open seasonally for hunting and fishing ONLY, unless specifically authorized for wildlife viewing. A valid hunting or fishing license​ is required to access State Trust Lands in this program, and unauthorized use or activity on these lands may be subject to enforcement from CPW or local authorities.
From Maybell, go 1.5 miles N on CR 19. STL is E and W of CR 19, N of Yampa River. CR 19 bisects STL from N and S, and provides primary access. All access to portion of property on W side of CR 19 by foot and horseback only. Motorized vehicle use prohibited on property on W side of CR 19. Access also from Hwy. 40, 4.5 miles E of Maybell and off Hwy. 318, W of Maybell near town of Sunbeam.

Alamaditas Mesa State Trust Land

ROUTE NO. 1: From Los Mogotes Peak STL (see directions in this brochure), go W on two-track for 7.5 miles to W boundary. ROUTE NO. 2: From La Jara STL (see directions in this brochure), go S of La Jara Res. on 4WD road to Fox Creek. From Fox Creek, by foot or horseback only, go 1.5 miles S to S boundary of USFS land. Go 3 miles E on USFS land and cross Fox Creek and Fox Creek trail. Go 1 mile to W boundary.
