The Colorado Snowmobile Program has allocated thousands of grant dollars to successful applicants to purchase new groomers, repair existing​ groomers, conduct trailhead improvements, construction of permanent groomer and maintenance facilities and f​or the purchase of signs and trail marking materials.​ There are two types of grants available. 

The Colorado Wildlife Habitat Program (CWHP) offers funding opportunities for landowners who wish to voluntarily protect important wildlife habitat, provide wildlife-related recreational access to the public, and, if appropriate, sell their property to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. ​​​​​​

The Habitat Partnership Program works to reduce wildlife conflicts, particularly those associated with forage and fences, and to assist Colorado Parks and Wildlife in meeting game management objectives. The program works through local committees to develop partnerships among landowners, land managers, sportspersons, the public and Colorado Parks and Wildlife to reduce conflicts caused by deer, elk, pronghorn and moose to agriculture. ​​​​​​​​

The Landowner Preference Program was created to give landowners a preference for hunting licenses. 

Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) are aquatic plants and animals that invade lakes, reservoirs, rivers and streams. ​Aquatic Nuisance Species can also include fish pathogens and diseases, such as viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHS) or whirling disease.  Colorado has taken the threat of these invasive species seriously through the development of the Colorado Aquatic Nuisance Species Act and the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Aquatic Nuisance Species Program. 

The Colorado Outdoor Equity Grant Program (OEGP) funds organizations and projects that improve access, representation, meaningful participation, and quality experiences for youth and their families in the Colorado outdoors. Grants of up to $100,000 are available to support non-profit organizations, for-profits, schools and school districts, federally-recognized tribes, and local governments. Grant projects decrease barriers to the outdoors for traditionally-excluded youth, provide responsible recreation experiences, create conservation opportunities, and support job and career training for low-income, racially and ethnically diverse youth, LBGTQ+ youth, the disability community, and/or American Indian and Native youth.
