Closed to boating except hand launch and human-powered vessels. No motors allowed. All water in the park is shut off. Winter campground closures are in effect.

Whether you are an avid hiker, mountain biker or hunter, or you simply appreciate all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, there are many ways you can get involved. Colorado state parks have a variety of employment and volunteer opportunities. Jobs include naturalists and maintenance and administrative work, and range from full to part time and temporary. Naturalist

Volunteer naturalists coordinate with the park rangers and interpreters to develop fun and exciting workshops, clinics and programs. They may also assist the park staff in delivering programs to the public, helping to advertise, engaging on social media and helping to set up programs.

Special Projects

Special Projects

Assist park staff by recruiting and training other volunteers; photograph or record park programs and special events. Provide equipment, donate funds or expertise on special projects.

Trail Work

Trail Work

Assist with the design, building and maintenance of park trails. Perform as crew members or crew leaders on trail construction, renovation and maintenance.

Campground Host

Campground Host

Campground hosts check campers in, answer visitor questions, maintain the campground and perform other duties as assigned.
