Whether you are an avid hiker, mountain biker or hunter, or you simply appreciate all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, there are many ways you can get involved. Colorado state parks have a variety of employment and volunteer opportunities. Jobs include naturalists and maintenance and administrative work, and range from full to part time and temporary. Aquatic Nuisance Species Inspections

This position involves inspecting for invasive zebra/quagga mussels, and milfoil and other plant species on boats and personal watercraft at an inspection point in the park.

Visitor Services

Responsibilities for Visitor Center/Office Support may include but are not limited to: answering phones, computer word processing and data entry, filing or other clerical tasks; helping to raise funds and writing grant proposals; providing computer training, troubleshooting or computer program design; staffing an information desk or sales outlet; designing and preparing exhibits, displays and bulletin boards; marketing and advertising park programs; writing and editing newsletters, brochures, fact sheets and manuals; and producing artwork or graphic design for publications, signs, flyers or exhibits.

Campground Host

Campground Host

Responsibilities include: answering visitor questions, selling firewood and turning money in to visitor center, cleaning fire pits, upkeep on campsites and additional tasks as needed. Looking for 4 hosts for the 2025 season! Pairs, individuals, families with children and people who are still working/in their careers (e.g., working remotely) are all accepted. Hosts are permitted to have pets.
