Hunting is permitted at Jackson Lake State Park beginning the Tuesday after Labor Day until the Thursday prior to Memorial Day. Only shotguns with birdshot (waterfowl, small game) are permitted at Jackson Lake State Park at this time. You must also have a parks pass on your vehicle. The two areas in the State Park are open seven days a week. Hunters may hunt the shore of the lake from the north side of the boat ramp to the boundary fence. They may also hunt the ponds located north of Northview Campground. Parking is available at the boat parking lot. A parks pass is required for both of these areas.
GENERAL INFORMATION: For a hunting brochure, please go to our hunting page, which may be found by clicking on the "Park Activities" link on the left. Hunters may hunt on Park’s premises within posted areas. Since several changes have taken place on the State Wildlife Areas on the northeast corner of the reservoir and the Andrick property, please contact Brush Service Center at (970)842-6300.
