Personally identifiable information on casual visitors is not collected and retained. Visitors do not have to provide personal information to visit the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website to read, download or print information.

Colorado Open Records Act
The Colorado Open Records Act presumes that most state records are disclosable to the public.
"It is declared to be the public policy of this state that all public records shall be open for inspection by any person at reasonable times, except as provided in Part 2 or as otherwise specifically provided by law." § 24-72-201, et seq., C.R.S.
Information contained in many kinds of documents filed with Colorado Parks and Wildlife is electronically stored and may be made accessible to the public through the CPW website.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife, in conjunction with the Governor's Office of Information Technology, has taken steps to safeguard the integrity of its telecommunications and computing infrastructure, including but not limited to authentication, monitoring and auditing. Security measures have been integrated into the design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire operating environment as part of its continuing commitment to risk management.
The system is monitored to ensure proper operation, to verify the functioning of applicable security features, and for comparable purposes. Anyone using this system expressly consents to such monitoring. Unauthorized attempts to modify any information stored on this system, to defeat or circumvent security features, or to utilize this system for other than its intended purposes are prohibited and may result in criminal prosecution.
