John Fielder Book Signing

Saturday, December 09: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Following the Friends annual meeting, starting at 10:30 a.m., we will host John Fielder, renown author and photographer. He will be available to sign books for that special person in your life after the presentation from11 a.m.—noon. Autographed copies are 10% off. Get a head start on your holiday presents! Presentation: A Colorado Winter Multi-media presentation by John Fielder John Fielder is excited to present an all new slide show for Holiday, 2017. A Colorado Winteris derived from the new book of the same title. You will feel the need to wear your parka while viewing over 200 of John’s most sublime winter photographs! In addition, John will share his stories of life on the winter trail, often en route to remote cabins in Colorado’s diverse winter hut network. Beautiful music has been carefully selected to marry with the world of white. John Fielder has worked tirelessly to promote the protection of Colorado’s ranches, open space, and wildlands during his 35-year career as a nature photographer and publisher. His photography has influenced people and legislation, earning him recognition including the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Award in 1993 and, in 2011, the Aldo Leopold Foundation’s first Achievement Award given to an individual. Over 40 books have been published depicting his Colorado photography. He teaches photography workshops to adults and children. He lives in Summit County, Colorado.
