Homestead Hike of the South Trails
Join volunteers on a guided hike to visit historical places throughout the less-crowded south trails of the park.

About this Event
Learn about the history of our homesteaders and visit some of their remaining structures on and off the trails. Meet at the Visitor Center patio at 8:00 am for a brief orientation. The full hike is 7 miles (with a few steep uphill portions in the middle, approximately 1400 feet in elevation gain throughout the hike). There are turn-back options 1.5 and 2 miles. Bring water, your lunch, and dress for the weather. Registration required.
