Tournament - Spinney Mountain Reservoir Pike Management

Spinney Mountain State Park
In the past few years, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has seen an imbalance in the pike and trout population numbers at Spinney Mountain Reservoir. Fisheries surveys have documented missing age classes of trout, while pike numbers are continuing to grow. In the interest of restoring balance, we are asking anglers to be part of the solution. Take an active role in fishery management by responsibly harvesting Northern Pike (especially the smaller sizes), which will help the reservoir retain its ability to produce a high-quality and healthy fishery for both species.
