Colorado River Emergency Closure
Effective immediately, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has issued an emergency closure for all public access and downstream recreation on the Colorado River starting at James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park in Fruita and extending to the Utah state line. This closure is necessary for firefighter and public safety due to the Snyder Fire currently burning in McInnis Canyon. This is a beginners class for fly tying and intro to fly fishing fundamentals.
Have you wanted to learn to fly fish? In this hands-on workshop you will learn about fly tying essentials. You will also be introduce to fly fishing equipment, basic casting, knots, and fly selection.
We will meet at the Nature Center. Equipment will be provided by Barr Lake.

Barr Lake State Park
Join volunteer naturalists Candice and Tim for a birding walk in the park. Learn about birds and other natural wonders at Barr Lake. This walk will to introduce park visitors and birders of all levels of experience to the park birds and anything else you happen to see. Registration is encouraged, but if you want to join us last minute please feel free to do so.
