About this Event
Join us at Boyd Lake to start the year off on the right foot by hiking the Heinricy Nature Trail! This easy .8 mile guided hike will feature a few stops where we discuss local human and more-than-human history. This event is open to all ages and will be family oriented. Come prepared for the hike by checking the weather forecast and wearing clothes and gear you deem necessary for the conditions. If snow is on the ground, foot traction devices might be a good idea. Pastry treats and drinks will be available after the hike!
Directions: If you already have an annual or KCW pass, feel free to drive straight to the Trailhead. If you need to purchase a park pass from the self-pay station, you can do that just past the entrance gate. Afterwards, take a right at the first intersection then drive south past the Cottonwood Campground to the Heinricy Trailhead.
Have a safe and happy New Years Eve, we'll see you there!
