About this Event
With step-by-step instruction, learn how to turn a bundle of pine needles into a strong, aromatic basket.
In this class we’ll learn how to turn a bundle of pine needles into a strong and aromatic basket. In other classes we’ll learn more advanced techniques and ornate patterns, including how to weave with other materials.
Basket making is a passive and meditative process, like knitting or crochet. It’s easy, too. Once you have the skills, all you need are a few inexpensive materials, and some fresh pine needles. From there you can weave anywhere, whether you’re at home watching a movie, or sitting in the piney mountains.
A park pass is required for this event. If you do not have one, please plan to purchase one prior to the event.
