3D Archery Class

About this Event

A 3D Archery Class at CMSP is one where participants shoot at life-size, three-dimensional animal targets made of high-density, self-healing, polymer foam using arrows equipped with target points in a typical mountain setting.

Class Registration

• Participants register for the class online

• Registration is limited to 9 participants

• CMSP’s Introduction to Archery class is prerequisite.

• Participants must be able to draw a full-size Genesis bow within its operating draw
weight range

• The 3D class objective is to introduce participants to the safe practices, the challenges,
and the enjoyment of three-dimensional target shooting in a typical mountain
environment.
This class is not intended to be an archery hunting class

3D Range Location and Ground Conditions

• The 3D range is located across Pine Oaks Road, which borders the static range and the
parking lot to the South

• The 3D range is located along a dirt, mountain hiking trail, it is about 1/2-mile round trip, it
includes rough terrain, change in elevation, and it will likely be muddy after rain

• Shooting lanes – involves steep climb and timber steps to retrieve arrows

• Closed-toe, high-traction, hiking footwear and long sleeves are highly recommended
• Bring drinking water!

Class Meetup

• The class meets in the parking lot of the archery range; along the fence located at the
south end of the lot

Fees

• This event if free but each vehicle parking on park property must have a valid Park (Colorado residents with an annual $29 Keep Colorado Wild Pass through their
vehicle registration are covered)

•  3D Range Fee – Each participant must have a 3D Range pass ($3 Daily – 16 years and above)

•    Passes are available at the Kiosk located in the archery range parking lot and at the Visitor Center.
