Lace up your hiking boots and prepare for an adventure to kick off the new year!

Join us for a 1.4 mile self-guided snowshoe hike around Sylvan Lake. Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, and a bonfire afterwards.

A 1.2 mile round trip hike on the new trail system at Rifle Gap. Starting at the Boat Ramp Overflow Parking lot and traversing all the way up to Osprey Overlook. Meet at Boat Ramp Overflow Parking.

Enjoy the 3 mile self-guided walk with activities along the trail between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. including a bird of prey meet and greet at the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center.

Start your year off on the right or left foot with a guided Snowshoe Hike. Leaving from the Moose Visitor Center at noon (12pm), we will hike the Gould Loop approximate 3⁄4 mile each way.

Enjoy a fresh start to 2025 by immersing in the wonder and healing nature offers through the practice of Forest Bathing/Shinrin-Yoku. Meet at Outlook Ridge trailhead.

1 mile out and back hike perfect for kids or anyone who wants to go a short distance and slow pace.

Ever wanted to give ice fishing a try but didn't know where to start? Are you new to ice fishing and looking for some tips to help you catch more fish? Then, this is the class for you! This clinic will be held at Davis Ponds in Staunton State Park near Conifer, CO. All the necessary equipment will be provided for you, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. All participants 16 and older must have a valid Colorado fishing license. An annual or daily state parks pass is also required to attend this clinic. Both the license and the pass can be purchased the day of at Staunton State Park.
