The Novice Pheasant Hunter Program (NPHP) supports new hunters (adults and youth 12 years and older), with detailed pheasant hunting knowledge, practical field experience, and quality instruction on a trap range. Upon completing NPHP, hunters will have an understanding of common small game biology, hunting skills and hunting laws. Classes, clinics, and mentored hunts are subject to any State or local health orders.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park is THRILLED  to host Diana Miller and some of her feathered friends from The Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center!  Come learn about hawks, owls, vultures, eagles, and falcons! During this live bird of prey presentation  Diana will introduce you to some  of the raptor ambassadors, tell their stories, and teach you about adaptations, hunting habits, anatomy, and natural history.  The program will begin promptly at 10:30 am and last approximately 1 hour.  All ages welcome!   Where:  Cheyenne Mountain State Park - Visitor Center When:  Saturday May 3rd, 2025 from 10:30am-11:30am Cost:  Free with valid park pass
