Mancos State Park in Southwestern Colorado is a haven for the year-round outdoor enthusiast and traveler.
In the spring, summer and fall, canoeists, kayakers and wakeless power boaters enjoy the calm waters of Jackson Gulch Reservoir. In the winter depending on conditions there are great opportunities for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. Fishing enthusiasts enjoy excellent fishing for yellow perch and rainbow trout. Travelers from other parts of the state and country use Mancos State Park as their camping headquarters when they visit the numerous attractions in the area, including Mesa Verde National Park, the San Juan Skyway, Public Lands, and Durango.
Summer 2023 Items of Note
The Mancos State Park Visitors Center is open for the season Tuesday-Saturday 8 am to 8 pm. Jackson Gulch Reservoir inspections will soon be available 7 days a week from 8 am - 4 pm.
All campgrounds are open for the season. Camping is by reservation only and can be made up until the moment of occupying the site, pending availability.
