Navajo State Park - Park Highlights

Arboles, CO

Navajo State Park offers premium recreation, history, wildlife and the beauty of southwest Colorado. It is situated just outside of the town of Arboles, 35 miles southwest of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Navajo State Park is Colorado's Answer to Lake Powell. Navajo Reservoir Extends for 20 miles South into New Mexico. Boaters and campers enjoy the park year-round. Sailors, house boaters and other power boaters cruise some of the 15,000 surface-acres of the giant reservoir.

St. Vrain State Park - Park Highlights

Firestone, CO

Ten ponds are open to public use, with four more under development, where visitors can fish for 15 different species. Boating is limited to hand- or foot-propelled, or electric motor craft on the smaller ponds. Hikers, bikers, photographers and birdwatchers will find 4 miles of easy trails and roads. Diverse birdlife and 2 campgrounds open year-round.

Natural areas are found on both public and private lands, and are officially designated through voluntary conservation agreements with landowners. The program has become a leader within the state for rare plant conservation.

Lake Pueblo State Park

Lake Pueblo, rated a fishing “hot spot,” provides over 4,600 surface acres of water, 60 miles of shoreline and almost 10,000 acres of land. Water recreation includes sailing, motor-boating, waterskiing, and river tubing. Views of the Greenhorn and Wet mountain ranges to the southwest and the magnificent Pikes Peak to the north are a splendid way to end the day.
