The Middle Mesa Fire is currently burning in New Mexico along the Colorado border with smoke visible from the park. Morning inversions bring low lying smoke which could present health risks to vulnerable populations. Air attack helicopters and water scooping planes are also dipping from the reservoir. Boats should give these aircraft plenty of space.
