What’s available at Pearl Lake
The 36 campsites and two yurts at Pearl Lake are sunny and have views of both the lake and surrounding Colorado mountains. The park is closed to camping during the winter, but check with neighboring Steamboat Lake State Park for winter reservations.

Yurts
Escape to nature in Pearl Lake’s yurts.
Yurts are round tents on a wooden frame with circular skylights and windows to provide illumination. The yurts at Pearl lake include electric heat and power. Reservations are required and are available year-round.

Relax by the campfire after a day on the lake. All campsites include a fire ring and picnic table. One campsite is accessible.

36 Campsites
A reservation is required to camp at Pearl Lake State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made for campsites and yurts online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.
There is a no-show policy for reservations: If you do not show up within 24 hours of your scheduled check-in time, and you do not notify the park that you will be arriving late, your site may be resold and may not be available when you arrive.

Pearl Lake’s campgrounds offer amenities to make your stay more comfortable.
Amenities include:

When you camp at Pearl Lake State Park, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. A minimum reservation of two nights is required for yurts. The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people, two motorized vehicles and only one camping unit is allowed per individual site. Please do not tie or hang anything from the trees.
All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets.
The park is closed to camping during the winter, but yurt reservations are available year-round, or check with neighboring Steamboat Lake State Park for winter camping reservations.

YURTS
Stay in Style
Yurts offer a comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors and are a unique alternative to tent or RV camping. Pearl Lake has two yurts, each with a screened skylight, windows and two sets of bunk beds. You can drive right up to your yurt, and yurt 6 is wheelchair accessible via a ramp. There is a minimum stay of two nights.
Know Before You Go
Guests should bring their own bedding and cookware. Smoking and cooking are not allowed in the yurts. There is no refrigerator, so guests should bring a cooler for food.

Pets are permitted in yurt 16 only for a fee of $10 per night (not per pet). Pets must be kept leashed when outside of the yurt.
Yurts are available by reservation year-round. Winter offers an exceptionally remote experience with trees and yurts covered in snow and only accessible by snowshoe, ski or snowmobile.
- From the last week in October until Memorial Day, the road to access the yurts closes due to snow. Visitors must cross-country ski or snowshoe to reach the yurts (approximately 0.5 miles).
- There is no drinking water available at the yurts during the winter months.
