What to Do at Pearl Lake
Nestled in the mountains north of Steamboat Springs, Pearl Lake State Park offers a peaceful, forested camping experience. Fly and lure fishing are available at the park, where cutthroat trout and arctic grayling swim in the lake. Great for canoeing, kayaking and wildlife watching, the park also provides easy access to Routt National Forest. It's a lush and green escape from the daily routine.

Best of Pearl Lake
Pearl Lake
The park's main attraction is the 167-acre lake, where visitors can boat, fish and paddle board.
Paddle Boarding
The wakeless waters of Pearl Lake have become a popular destination for standup paddle boarding. Please remember your life jacket before launching in our waters. Paddle boards are available for rent from a vendor on the weekends.
Picnicking
Picnickers have the option of seven different sites with tables and grills or fire rings overlooking the lake. A wildlife-viewing deck provides memorable views along the tree-lined shore. A universally accessible picnic site is located by the boat ramp.
Yurts
Leave your tent at home and stay in one of the two yurts available for reservations year-round. Winter offers an exceptionally remote experience, with trees and yurts covered in snow and only accessible by snowshoe, ski or snowmobile. If you are interested in a relaxing evening of stargazing with clear night skies, Pearl Lake will be a great fit for you.
