Waterfowl, Big Game and Small Game

Hunting

Waterfowl, big-game and small-game hunting are permitted in areas that are open for hunting during lawful hunting seasons established by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

NOTE: Hunting is allowed only during valid hunting seasons UNTIL Spinney closes for the Season on November 15 each year. After that NO access to the park is allowed.

Waterfowl hunters will find a challenging and rewarding experience bagging their limit of geese, mallards, teal, bufflehead, wigeons or gadwalls on this reservoir. Jackrabbits and coyotes are abundant for small-game hunters. All blinds must be removed from the park each night.

Hunters seeking larger game can find mule deer and the occasional pronghorn antelope.

These areas include, but are not limited to, any location that is within 100 yards of any campground, picnic site, vault toilet, boat ramp, building, or other facility or structure. For information on hunting boundaries for Eleven Mile and Spinney Mountain State Parks, please review the map. The park Visitor Center may also have a hard copy of it, as well.
