What to Do at St. Vrain
St. Vrain’s stocked ponds offer some of the best fishing in northern Colorado. Enjoy stunning views of Longs Peak and spot wildlife, including waterfowl, deer and bald eagles in winter. Convenient camping with full RV hook-ups makes St. Vrain a great place to rest on drives through Colorado.

Best of St. Vrain
Ponds
St. Vrain offers 11 ponds spread across 236 acres of water. Visitors can boat, fish or swim in the ponds.
Birding
St. Vrain State Park is one of the best locations in the state for close-proximity birding. The park is especially known for pelicans, great blue herons, great horned owls, osprey, American kestrels, and a wide variety of songbirds, waterfowl and raptors. During the winter, St. Vrain is home to bald eagles.
Watch Wildlife
Depending upon the time of year and time of day, you can view various wildlife, including marmots, chipmunks, foxes, beavers, porcupines and, on rare occasions, bear. Always maintain a safe distance from wildlife. There is a possibility you might even see a moose!
Picnicking
Tables with shelters and grills are found amongst the park’s ponds and trees. There are picnic tables on or near Bald Eagle, Blue Heron Reservoir, Mallard, Pintail, Pelican and Sandpiper ponds.
