Meadow Nature Walk
The meadow nature walk is a relatively short guided nature walk through some of our park’s pristine natural environments. Learn about the ecology of meadows and open spaces with park naturalist Sam Owens.
About this Event
The walk takes place in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, starting at the Prairie Falcon Amphitheater parking at 10:00 a.m. at select dates in July. Reservations are available on CPW connect, https://cpwconnect.state.co.us/D/CMSP/Calendar, but walk-ins are allowed. Walk will commence rain or shine, so participants are advised to come prepared for weather and trail conditions. Appropriate footwear and clothing is needed, as the trail is not paved.
Audience: All are welcome, however, please keep in mind individual skill level and challenge of an hour long moderate hike.
Dogs not permitted.
Fee: No fee is needed for the walk, but the entry fee to the park is still required.
Time duration: 1-2 hours maximum, although under an hour is possible based on walk dynamics.
Location: Prairie Falcon Amphitheatre parking off the main road south of the campsites.
