Additional Hunting Opportunities
For varying reasons, ranches will sometimes offer the option to purchase an additional cow licenses to any of their licensed elk hunters. Hunters who were successful in drawing elk licenses on those particular ranches will receive a postcard with the voucher number allowing for an additional female license. This postcard and voucher number can be used to pick up the hunter's additional license, in the same way as a paper voucher. As with traditional vouchers, these postcards must be redeemed in person at a CPW location or agent.
Please note that the additional cow license can only be used with the original RFW license; therefore, if the hunter returns or exchanges their original RFW license, the additional cow license can no longer be hunted. If it is more than 30 days before the start of that season, the hunter may return the additional cow license for a refund.
