What’s available at Boyd Lake

Discover premier camping at Boyd Lake State Park. The park’s 140 paved pull-through sites, equipped for vehicles up to 40 feet, offer 20-, 30- and 50-amp electric hook-ups, along with picnic tables and grills. Three restroom buildings, playgrounds and horseshoe pits are available. Winter camping (November 1 to March 31) features a designated bathroom building. A dump station is available.

Reserve a Campsite

A reservation is required to camp at Boyd Lake State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.

Know Before You Go

    Boyd Lake’s modern campsites offer amenities to make your camping experience more comfortable. Amenities include:

    • Camper services building with coin-operated showers and laundry facilities (except during winter months)

    When you camp at Boyd Lake, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. There is a maximum of two sleeping units per camping site (two tents or one hard-side unit and one tent) and a maximum of six people per site. Campers may camp only in designated sites, and all vehicles and trailers must stay on the campsite asphalt.

    Please be aware that the clearance at the entry gate is 14 feet 2 inches. 

    Boyd Lake State Park is pet friendly. Leashed pets are allowed at campsites. All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets. 

    Winter camping is available from November 1 to March 31 each year. Please see the Cottonwood Campground Winter Camping Map. No laundry facilities are available during the winter.
