Due to dry conditions & elevated fire danger, a fire ban has been issued. Please review the banned & allowed activities to help prevent wildfires. Violations may result in citations.
Marina Closure -
The Boyd Lake Marina will be closed for the 2026 season due to the end of the operating contract. Due to low water levels forecasted, a new concessionaire will not be selected. There is no estimated reopening date. Read more about this closure.

Jobs
Every year we hire:
Boyd Lake posts openings year-round with job start dates beginning between February and June.
- Visitor Desk Attendants
- Park Entrance Attendants
- Aquatic Invasive Species (ANS) Inspectors
- Maintenance Workers
- Limited-Commissioned Law Enforcement Personnel

Volunteer Opportunities
Aquatic Nuisance Species Inspections
Daily interaction with park visitors: get under boats, climb into boats/ boat trailers to inspect for ANS and/or decontaminate these areas.
Campground Host
Maintain campgrounds, answer visitor questions, and manage camper expectations.
Visitor Services
Assist visitors to our Visitor Center by sharing information; selling passes, registrations, firewood, and retail merchandise; answering telephones; monitoring radio communications; data entry; and more.
Resident Volunteer
Assist park hosts, check in visitors at the entrance station, and perform landscaping and other park maintenance.
