What’s available at Cheyenne Mountain
Just a 10-minute drive from downtown Colorado Springs, Cheyenne Mountain offers a full outdoor experience away from city life. Full hook-up and tent campsites are available year-round, and there are two cabins available in the park. The camper services building offers coin operated showers, a laundry room and an activity room from April to November.

Cheyenne Mountain’s campground comfortably accommodates solo campers, families and groups, including a private group camping loop.
Two cabins are available with a reservation. Surrounded by scrub oak, they provide easy access to the park’s trails and the disc golf course.
Reserve a Campsite

A reservation is required to camp at Chatfield State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.
Know Before You Go
Whether you’re camping in a tent or RV, Cheyenne Mountain’s modern campsites offer amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Amenities include:

When you camp at Cheyenne Mountain, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people and only one camping unit is allowed per site. A camping unit is defined as one motor home, one trailer or one tent. Each campsite has a 12-foot by 12-foot tent pad. One additional tent is allowed if it fits on the developed portion of the camp site. It is not permissible to set up tents on any park vegetation.
Cheyenne Mountain State Park is pet friendly. Leashed pets are allowed at campsites. All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets.
Not all campsites are available during the winter months. Winter camping reservations are limited to the loop available. Our camper services building is closed from November to April each year.

CABINS
Stay in Style
The two cabins in the Meadow Campground are surrounded by scrub oak and have easy access to trails and the disc golf course. Cabin A is decorated with a light-hearted nature theme and offers an amazing view of Cheyenne Mountain from its picture window. Cabin B has delightful casual decorations and a spectacular view of the city lights below. Both cabins are ADA accessible and sleep up to six.

Cabin check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 12pm (noon). There is a minimum stay of two nights; it is a three-night minimum on holidays. Cabins are ADA-accessible and can accommodate up to six people. Smoking and pets are not allowed in the cabins, and there is no Wi-Fi available (cell service in the area is generally robust).
The kitchen is well equipped, including a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, dish soap and more. Linens and firewood are not provided, so campers should plan to bring their own. The park does not provide cleaning or room service during your stay.
