Whether you are an avid hiker, mountain biker or hunter, or you simply appreciate all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, there are many ways you can get involved. Colorado state parks have a variety of employment and volunteer opportunities. Jobs include naturalists and maintenance and administrative work, and range from full to part time and temporary. Volunteer
Trail, Stewardship and Maintenance
If you want to help take care of Eldorado Canyon, stewardship volunteering is the place for you. We monitor and control invasive weeds, improve forest health, build and maintain trails, and help keep facilities clean and safe for visitors. All ability and fitness levels are welcome.
Park Ambassador
This position focuses on supporting the Visitor Center and Entrance Station by greeting visitors, orienting guests to the park, selling park passes and retail merchandise, and answering phone calls.
Weed Warriors
This position exists to help with weed management in identifying, monitoring, mapping and removing non-native invasive and noxious weed species from Eldorado Canyon State Park. Volunteers will be trained to identify, map and effectively remove select non-native invasive and noxious species.
Trail Patrol
Assist Park Ranger staff with quality visitor management through patrolling trails, helping with capacity, participating in resource protection, providing information regarding programs/special activities in the park, informing visitors about local and natural history, and more.
