Camping and Lodging
After a day on the lake or golf course, set up camp and unwind by the campfire. Lathrop has two campgrounds offering basic tent camping and full hook-ups for RVs and trailers. There is also a group camping area to accommodate your next gathering.

What’s available at Lathrop
Open year-round, Lathrop’s two campgrounds have 103 sites that can accommodate motor homes, trailers and tents, offering either a basic or improved camping experience. For group camping, each site can accommodate 30 to 50 people. ADA-accessible camping sites are available.
Campsites
The Yucca Campground offers a basic (non-electric) camping experience. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit, making it a great place to enjoy the outdoors solo or with family.
Piñon Campground features pull-through or back-in paved sites, paved roads, up to 50-amp electrical hook-ups, fire pits and picnic tables, all within walking distance of the golf course.
103 Campsites
A reservation is required to camp at Lathrop State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.
Whether you’re camping in a tent or RV, Lathrop’s campsites offer amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Amenities include:
When you camp at Lathrop State Park, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people, two motorized vehicles and only one camping unit is allowed per individual site. Please do not tie anything, including hammocks, to the trees. Quiet hours are observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets. Leashed pets are allowed in campgrounds, picnic areas and on designated trails.
Camping is available year-round at Lathrop. Contact the park Visitor Center at 719-738-2376 to inquire about amenities available during the winter months.
