What’s available at Ridgway
Ridgway State Park offers year-round camping with 253 sites available for RVs, trailers, and tent campers, including ADA-accessible and walk-in options. For those seeking a more secluded experience, there are also 25 dedicated walk-in tent sites.
Dakota Terraces and Elk Ridge campgrounds provide 30-amp electric hookups, an RV dump station, and shared water, with Elk Ridge also featuring 10 scenic walk-in tent sites. Pa-Co-Chu-Puk, by the Uncompahgre River, boasts full hookup 50 amp sites and 15 walk-in tent sites. All Campgrounds offer camper service buildings with showers, flush restrooms and seasonal laundry facilities.
Embrace the serene beauty of winter by camping in select campsites in Elk Ridge and Dakota Terraces campgrounds. Escape to nature with a unique and cozy stay in one of Ridgway State Park's charming yurts! These inviting round tents, set on a sturdy wooden frame, welcome you with abundant natural light streaming through circular skylights and windows. All three of our yurts are heated, and include small refrigerators and microwaves, outdoor grilling areas, secure food storage boxes, and comfortable furnishings for up to six guests, ensuring a delightful year-round retreat. Pets are welcome in selected yurts for an additional fee. Reservations are required, so book your unforgettable yurt adventure today!

Relax and unwind by a crackling campfire under a blanket of stars after a day exploring the Park. Our diverse campgrounds offer nearly 300 sites, ranging from basic walk-in tent sites to full 50-amp hookup sites, and even a large group campground. At a minimum all campsites are equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, and BBQ grill, with many accessible sites ensuring everyone can enjoy a comfortable and memorable outdoor experience.
Remember to always practice Leave No Trace and Dark Skies principles and learn how to Live with Bears and how to Camp With Bears by properly storing all food and scented items to protect wildlife and ensure a safe, memorable experience for everyone.
Reserve a Campsite or Yurt
282 Campsites, 3 Yurts
A reservation is required to camp at Ridgway State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made for campsites and yurts online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. ADA designated campsites are available and must be reserved by phone at 1-800-244-5613. A valid handicap vehicle placard is required to reserve designated campsites and must be displayed in a vehicle while occupying the campsite.
Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.

Dakota Terraces features three camping loops with 76 campsites (Loop A site #’s 1-25, Loop B site #’s 2653, and Loop C site #’s 54-76). Elk Ridge, the park's most popular campground, provides 2 camping loops with 98 campsites (Loop D site #’s 80-118 and Loop E site #’s 119-188).

A reservation and park pass are required for each day of your stay, and camping is permitted only in designated areas. Please note that each individual site allows a maximum of six people, two motorized vehicles, and one camping unit. Pets are not permitted beyond the fenced entrances at the Dutch Charlie Swim Beach. We kindly ask all pet handlers to immediately collect and properly dispose of all pet waste. Numerous pet waste stations, with ecofriendly waste bags, and trash receptacles are conveniently located throughout the park for your use. While we appreciate you picking up after your pet, please ensure waste bags are disposed of properly in a trash receptacle and not left on trails, picnic tables, or elsewhere in the park.
