Best of Stagecoach
Stagecoach Reservoir
The park's main attraction is its 820-acre reservoir, where visitors can boat, fish, jet ski, paddle board, swim and water ski.
Paddle Boarding
The entire reservoir is open to paddle boards, but paddle boarders are encouraged to take advantage of the calm water in Harding and Morrison coves and the large no-wake area on the western half of the reservoir. Paddle boards may be rented from the Stagecoach Marina Store.
Swim Beach
Located at the marina, the swim beach offers a sandy beach, picnic tables and a sand volleyball court. There is no lifeguard on duty, so swim at your own risk.
Picnicking
Picnic tables are located throughout the park's trails, campsites and day-use areas. Sites with both picnic tables and grills can be found at the Arrowhead, Keystone and Haybro picnic areas.

Waterfowl
Hunting
Waterfowl hunting is allowed during legal seasons in designated hunting zones on the western portion of the park only. The use of firearms and other weapons is prohibited in the summer and controlled during the legal hunting season.
Signs are posted throughout the park showing designated hunting areas. Hunting is not allowed on the eastern portion of the reservoir, at the ponds at the new wetland or the tailwater areas.
Since water levels can be higher, waterfowl hunters must ensure they are at least 100 feet from trails and other developed areas. Please practice responsible hunting, and be aware of shore and boat anglers.
Reservations, online or by phone at 1-800-244-5613 are required to hunt.
Hunting zones not reserved are available on a first-come, first-served basis after 5 am. Reserved hunting zones unoccupied by 7 am will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, any hunting zone must be yielded at any time upon request of a hunter holding a valid and active reservation for that zone.
Free Rentals
Equipment Rentals
Stagecoach offers a loaner gear program so visitors can enjoy many of the activities available at the park. The program includes lake and ice fishing rods and tackle, horseshoes, snowshoes, GPS units and fat-tire bikes. Fat-tire bikes are not available during mud season. Call 970-736-2436 or stop by the park office for additional information or to check out items. As the loaner program is primarily donation funded, donations are highly encouraged.
In the summer, the marina rents kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats and standup paddle boards. Contact the marina at 970-736-8342 for rental pricing and availability.
