What’s available at Stagecoach

Set among the lush and fragrant sagebrush of the Yampa Valley, Stagecoach offers 92 campsites spread across four campgrounds. From basic tent camping to RVs and motorhomes, campsites offer convenient access to the reservoir and trails, as well as to the other activities and attractions in the area. With electrical hook-ups, restrooms, showers and water available, Stagecoach offers amenities for almost every kind of camper. A group camping area and one ADA-accessible campsite are also available.

Reserve a Campsite

92 Campsites

A reservation is required to camp at Stagecoach State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.

Reservations at Stagecoach are available from May 15 to September 30. During the winter, reservations are available at Pinnacle campground.

    When you camp at Stagecoach State Park, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. Please do not park on the vegetation or off the roadway. The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people are allowed per campsite. 

    Leashed pets are allowed at campsites. All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets. 

    Camping during winter in the Pinnacle campground only, and reservations are required. Please note that all water facilities, including showers, the dump station and drinking water, are not available from October 31 through May 15.​
