Picnics and Receptions

The Sopris and Viola Picnic Shelters located on Carpios Ridge are popular spots for family and high school reunions, company picnics, weddings, graduations and birthday parties.

    FOR GROUPS

    Group Camping

    The Piedmont Group Camping area provides a private oasis for large groups looking to camp together. 

    Located on the east side of the dam along county road 18.3.

      • $250 per night
      • Up to 48 occupants
      • Check-in: 1pm on day of arrival
      • Check-Out: 12pm on day of departure

      Amenities:

      • 3 electrical hook-ups for Campers/RVs
      • 2 vault toilets
      • Potable water hydrants
      • Fire pits
      • Covered picnic shelter with grills and a fireplace
      • Horseshoe pits
      • Nearby access to the boat ramp and the south shore line
      • Piedmont Group Camping Area has a locked gate. All reservations must check-in at the office or with a park ranger to have the entrance gate unlocked. 
      • 15 tents are permitted in designated tent area.
      • 8 Campers/RVs are permitted in the Piedmont Area, but only three are allowed to be hooked up to the electric pedestals at one time.
