Halloween Murder Mystery Hike
Celebrate the spooky season with this 2 mile Halloween hike.
About this Event
Make the 2 mile journey to the Osborn Homestead and learn about the mysterious disappearance of Sumner Osborn, a local homesteader who disappeared from the property in 1941.
Hear about two different families who homesteaded in the park, the search effort for Sumner, mischievous activities happening at the time and theories to what happened to him. This hike starts downhill and ends uphill.
Come dressed in layers or costume! Pack water and a headlamp or flashlight.
Meet at Black Bear Trailhead. The camper services building will be closed so there will not be a restroom at this location. The Visitor Center closes at 4pm. Stop by the comfort station beforehand if you need to use the restroom or fill up water.
