New Year, New Trails: Explore Winter Within State Parks
Snowshoeing at Stagecoach
The park has 8 miles of groomed trails, perfect for snowshoeing and cross-country skiiing. Stop by the park office to take advantage of the FREE rentals, which include snowshoes, sleds, ice fishing equipment and fat-tire bikes! Stagecoach State Park makes it easy to try a number of new outdoor activities.
Fat Biking at State Forest
With more than 71,000 acres of forest, jagged peaks, alpine lakes, abundant wildlife and miles of trails, State Forest State Park is truly a winter wonderland. Explore the trails by fat bike while enjoying nature’s serene beauty. Begin your trek right from the Moose Visitor Center, where there is a 6-mile groomed trail that runs along the banks of the Michigan River. Other trails in the park offer intermediate and strenuous routes, and Gould Loop, Grass Creek and The Loops Trails are groomed when conditions allow.
Ice Fishing at Eleven Mile
Eleven Mile State Park is an expansive high-altitude grassland region of central Colorado and a prime location for ice fishing. Ringed by high mountains, this 3,400-acre reservoir at 8,600 feet elevation offers trophy-sized fishing opportunities for rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout and northern pike. Some of the largest fish ever caught in the state have been pulled from these waters. Contact the park for up-to-date conditions.

With abundant wildlife and over 5,000 gorgeous acres, Mueller never fails to amaze.
