Camping and Recreation Ariel View of Stagecoach State Park

​​Visitors camping at Stagecoach State Park can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the park in a beautiful mountain setting, away from city crowds and traffic. Many visitors make Stagecoach their basecamp when exploring nearby outdoor recreation opportunities including the Flattops Wilderness, Sarvice Creek Wilderness and Blacktail Mountain.

Camping fees range from $18-$36 per night. 

Camping at all state parks requires a reservation year-round. It can be made the day of or up to 6 months in advance. Note: peak season is between Memorial Day to Labor Day.

In addition to reservation and camping fees, a valid daily or annual Colorado State Parks pass is required on all vehicles.

Camping Information

View the campground map​ for location of campgrounds. ​

  • Junction City Campground offers 30 amp, 125 volt electricity at each site.

  • Pinnacle Campground offers 20, 30 and 50 amp electricity at each site.

  • Coin operated shower facilities are available at the Marina.

  • Campsites are available by reservation only.

  • Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 6 am. This includes generators, radios, musical instruments or loud conversation.

  • Immediate occupancy of the site is required.

  • Do not occupy the site if you do not have a reservation.

  • One camping unit per site: a camping unit consists of one trailer, RV, van/bus, OR one trailer etc. and one tent, OR two tents. No more than 2 vehicles and 6 people at each campsite.

  • Keep all vehicles, trailers and tents parked off of the grass.

  • Fires are allowed in designated fire rings only.

  • A dump station is located near the Pinnacle Campground and is available for registered campers.

  • Some electrical sites in the Pinnacle Campground are available throughout the winter on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • All water facilities including showers, dump station and drinking water are shut down October 31- May 15 for the winter season.

  • All vehicles, tents and trailers must be kept inside the campsite and off of vegetation. Vehicles that do not fit within the campsite may be parked at day use areas. Boat trailers may be parked in the marina parking lot. 

Group Camping

The McKindley Group Camping Area offers facilities for up to 36 people with parking for up to seven vehicles. Facilities include picnic tables, vault toilets and a grill. 

The Juniper Group Camping Area offers facilities for up to 18 people with 2 RV sites featuring 20, 300 or 50 Amp electric hookups, parking for 4 additional vehicles, a central group fire ring/gathering area and 3 developed tent pads. Facilities include picnic tables, flush restrooms and grills.
