Toxic Algal Bloom
Barr Lake is closed to paddle boarding due to harmful algal bloom. Swimming on the lake is not allowed. Kayaking and canoeing are still permitted. Keep safe by avoiding contact with the water and rinsing off after you boat or fish at the lake.

Near the Meadowlark Picnic Pavilion, the Barr Lake Nature Center is a great place to learn about the park’s wildlife and have your questions answered by a volunteer or staff member.
