Whether you are an avid hiker, mountain biker or hunter, or you simply appreciate all the Colorado outdoors has to offer, there are many ways you can get involved. Every year we hire:
All temporary, YIP internship and full-time jobs are posted directly on the state's career website.
Assist anglers with their fishing skills. Clinics are offered multiple times a year and sometimes specifically requested by groups coming to the park.
Help rid the park of invasive weeds. Please never pull weeds on your own without permission from park staff. This group hosts work days to work on specific areas within the park.
Trail hosts assist visitors, report trail conditions and set a good example on the trails! Ride trail/trail hosting, bike mechanical assistance, inform visitors of park rules, report issues, minor trail maintenance, trail condition reporting, trail etiquette and safety education, and other duties as assigned.
To provide this opportunity to the disabled community, Staunton State Park offers the use of the Action Track-Chair, which allows visitors to explore designated trails in the park. Volunteer responsibilities include hiking alongside Track-Chair participants and ensuring they have a safe and educational trip.
