Low Water Levels - Davis Pond

For dam safety, water levels have been lowered in the lower Davis pond. Accessing the pond from the east shoreline will be difficult, so please instead fish the upper pond or within the rip-rap of the lower pond. Low water levels will continue throughout this winter.

Gathering Space

    With views of Lionshead, the Marmot Burrow Amphitheater is perfect for outdoor wedding ceremonies or school groups.

    Hours:  9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

    • Up to 60 guests
    • Fees: $10 reservation fee
    • $90 per day

    Guests visiting the amphitheater may use the upper parking lot (Meadow parking lot).

    Amenities:

    • Rustic bench seats
    • Log archway (12 feet tall by 23 feet wide)

    The Visitor Center multi-purpose room is ideal for small indoor gatherings, like company meetings.

    Hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    • Up to 70 guests
    • Fees: $10 reservation fee, see amenities pricing below

      The Davis Ponds group picnic area is a small pavilion located at Davis Ponds fishing lakes. It offers a beautiful view of Lionshead. 

      Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

      • Fees: $10 reservation fee
      • $90 per day

      • 4 picnic tables
      • 1 small charcoal grill
      • Vault toilet
      • Drive-in access

      The Ranch Hand group picnic area is ideal for hosting family gatherings and group events, including company picnics and wedding receptions.

      Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

      • Up to 100 guests, seating for 75 guests
      • Fees: $10 reservation fee
      • $160 per day

      Bus Passes

      The following are the costs for transporting your guests to the park on a commercial bus:

      • 1 to 15 passengers is $10
      • 16 to 30 passengers is $40
      • 31 or more is $50

      A transportation pass can be purchased at the entrance station.

      Uber, RideShare and Dropped-off Guests

      Guests who are dropped off pay the $4 per person walk-in pass. 

      Most request-a-ride services will drop off but won't pick up. Please arrange a ride home ahead of time.

      Event Passes for All Guests

      Ask for an event pass for all your guests on your rental contract.

      Park staff will count the number of vehicles present for your event that do not already have an annual pass, issue each a pass and charge your credit card at the end of the day.

      Nearby Trails Access and Lake Views

      Enjoy a a short or loop hike from the Visitor Center, group picnic areas or the amphitheater. Davis Ponds offers tranquil lake views and fishing, and browse the exhibits and gifts at the Visitor Center.
