For dam safety, water levels have been lowered in the lower Davis pond. Accessing the pond from the east shoreline will be difficult, so please instead fish the upper pond or within the rip-rap of the lower pond. Low water levels will continue throughout this winter.

What’s available at Staunton
Staunton State Park offers 25 walk-in campsites surrounded by diverse landscapes, from high meadows to granite cliffs. Campsite amenities include a 12-foot by 24-foot tent pad, picnic table, bear-proof food storage box, vault toilets and water hydrants in parking lots. Campers will need to carry their gear from the parking lot to their site.

Reserve a Campsite
25 Campsites
A reservation is required to camp at Staunton State Park, and it’s easy to make one. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date. Visitors are required to display a vehicle pass and have a valid reservation.

The park offers amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Amenities include:

When you camp at Staunton State Park, check-in time is 1 p.m. on the day of arrival and check-out time is 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of departure. A reservation is necessary, and camping is allowed only in designated areas. Please do not park on the vegetation or off the roadway. The maximum stay is 14 days within a 28-day period. A maximum of six people are allowed per campsite, and hammocks are not allowed.
Please note that fires are prohibited in Staunton State Park. This includes charcoal and wood fires. Cook stoves using propane or white gas are allowed.
Leashed pets are allowed at campsites. All pets must be under control and on a maximum six-foot leash at all times, and not attached to any park signs, trees, shrubs or hydrants. Pets may not be left unattended, and pet owners must promptly clean up after their pets.
